Doug's Got the Winter Grilling Jones!

As the weather turns colder, thoughts start turning toward crock-pots, instant pots, simmering stews, roasts and rib sticking goodness. So, I guess that leaves our summertime favorite, the grill, in the lurch until next Spring.  Oh. Heck. No!!!

Here are some tips for you:

Weber: Reaching the Summit. An insulated charcoal grill by the worldwide standard is an easy choice. If you love charcoal grilling, you know how tough it is to control temps in the fall and winter. This may be the simplest vessel through which you can control temperature during cool or cold times.

Now, my buddy, Roger Abel, from Premier Investments of Iowa, has a Big Green Egg. He LOVES it! One of the benefits of the Egg is that it’s so thick it’s almost impervious to cold! My friends over at The Grill Works have these, plus a whole lot more, including Bluetooth controlled smokers from Green Mountain Grill.

Ultimately, the most important point is that you don’t start any crazy fires and you don’t catch pneumonia while you’re outside!
