In the U.S., nearly 73.9 million tons of food are wasted each year, representing a total value of $382 billion. Wasted food is a major environmental issue, as it emits methane, a powerful greenhouse gas, as it breaks down in landfills. Doug spoke with Eric Speiser, Head of Growth and Customer Experience, Denali, who are trying to collect food waste and redistribute it.
