Metastatic breast cancer (MBC), also known as stage IV breast cancer, is breast cancer that has spread from the breasts to other areas of the body. At this time, it is not considered a curable disease, but it’s possible to maintain a good quality of life while on treatment and some patients have no evidence of disease and can be followed with scans and other tests. An MBC diagnosis means the person diagnosed will be in treatment for MBC for the rest of their life. Doug spoke with Jean Sachs, MSS, MLSP; CEO of Living Beyond Breast Cancer AND Betty Sanchez, Metastatic breast cancer patient advocate. https://www.noonemissed.org/breastcancer
