Monarch Research’s Planting Forward for Woodlands Begins July 18

Our friends at Monarch Research (MR) sent out a news release the other day, and say they are "excited to announce a return of the 'Fall Planting Forward for Woodlands' tree restoration program. MR will again be offering landowners easy access to high-quality, low-cost native trees, and deer fencing. As part of the overarching Planting Forward initiative, MR has earmarked a limited number of trees for the Woodlands program, supporting property owners with three or more woodland acres."

MR says you'll be able to purchase anywhere between 25-150 trees, and you'll have 32 native species from which to choose! All you have to do is go to the Monarch Research website to review your options. And, even if you're not interested in 25 trees, maybe you and some neighbors can go in on trees, and/or you can donate them to a church or a senior living center or something like that.

Clark McLeod is a friend of The Morning Show, and he said, “This Spring we had an outstanding response from Linn County property owners. Each season we see more involvement and expanded interest with neighbors, friends, co-workers, and employers joining together to make a difference. Together, we are planting trees and restoring habitat, ensuring that future generations can enjoy a healthy, thriving environment.”

Online ordering begins July 18 and will continue until August 15, while quantities last. Order online at monarchresearch.org.
