30 cents on the Fuel Saver card for spending $30? I'm in! And I'm boring.

I was at work this morning when I got a text; It was from Hy-Vee and it told me that if I spent $30 and used my Fuel Saver card, I would get 30 cents on the card. HELLO! And then, I realized, I'm kind of boring..

When I was in college at St. Ambrose, I used to pass the time going to grocery store and walking up and down the aisles looking for the best prices for the best quality. Yeah, it was kind of nerdy, but it was during the day, between classes, when I didn't have homework and wasn't working. I still do the same thing today. Instead of running straight home after work, I stopped by the store and walked up and down every aisle. I ended up with just over $30 in groceries and even scored some additional deals, making my total fifty-six cents on the card!

Now, this means I will get just over $9 off my next gas fill up. A little over a year ago, I got a nicer car, so I use premium gas for better performance and fuel economy.

This may seem like a boring blog entry. And, to be honest, it is. But after the 18 months we've just had, I need a good dose of boring. I'll see you the aisles. I'll be the one with nothing in my cart, comparing price per ounce.
