70's teen heartthrob and actor David Cassidy is dead at the age of 67. He passed away in Florida after experiencing liver and kidney failure. Cassidy gained fame as Keith Partridge from the musical sitcom "The Partridge Family," which ran from 1970 to 1974.
He’s just 17 years older than I am, at 67.
“The Partridge Family” was one of the staples of after school viewing when I was a kid. I’m not sure if anyone other than Cassidy or Shirley Jones actually had any musical talent, but the campiness of the stories and the cagey acting is something I’ll always recall.
It’s really tough to think of another show that was able to mix music and message the way “The Partridge Family” did. Can you think of any? Leave them in the comments below!
