Back the Barns at the Iowa State Fair

The Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation has created the “Back the Barns” campaign to restore the historic livestock barns on the fairgrounds and is giving a one-of-a-kind belt buckle to donors.

Altogether, the livestock barns will undergo a major $25 million renovation which began earlier this year with the sheep barns. Each building will have restorations in areas needed such as roofing, flooring, electrical, restrooms, tuckpointing, and more.

The Blue Ribbon Foundation is asking those with a passion for youth in agriculture to support this campaign by becoming a “Back the Barns” member by donating $3,000 in one of three ways:

- A one-time $3,000 gift

- An annual gift of $1,000 for a 3-year term

- Quarterly gifts of $250 for a 3-year term

To celebrate your donation, you will receive a special commemorative belt buckle. You will also get your name listed on a plaque recognizing donors once the project is complete.
