POTUS lectures NATO head on cash and trade. Right approach to our allies?

President Trump started his NATO Summit in Brussels by lecturing its leader on Defense spending and trade.

He went back and forth with Jens Stoltenberg about why other NATO countries were not living up to their agreements to spend 2% of GDP on defense spending AND doing energy deals with Russia.

“We are stronger together,” the NATO Secretary General said to the President. He might have been surprised by the response.

“But how can you be together when you’re getting energy from the group you want protection from?”

The President had tweeted his position earlier so they really shouldn't have been surprised
