DOHA, Qatar -- Former University of Iowa All-American Brittany Brown won her heat in the semifinals of the 2019 World Championships and will compete for a world title in the 200 meters on Wednesday in Doha, Qatar.
Brown won her heat in 22.46. She heads to the women's 200 meters finals on Oct. 2 at 2:35 p.m. (CT). Brown advanced to the semifinal on Monday, running a personal-best 22.33 in the opening round.
Brown's former teammate and current Hawkeye Laulauga Tausaga will make her Worlds debut on Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. (CT). She is competing in the discus.
