ICPD Investigates Strong Arm Robbert

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Iowa City Police are investigating a strong arm robbery involving several suspects.

Police say two victims say they were walking in the 400 block of S. Clinton Street when a white Suburban- or Yukon-like SUV pulled up to them at 2:16 a.m. Sunday.

People in the vehicle shouted at the victims and then got out, assaulting them.

The victims were injuries but did not need medical attention.

The suspects are described as five black males and one white male,They returned to the vehicle and fled the area after the assault.

They stole personal property from one of the victims.

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about this crime.
