Iowa City Police are investigating a robbery that happened overnight. Authorities responded to the area of 2722 Wayne Ave. on the report of a strong-arm robbery around am this morning.
The victim reported that he was pushed to the ground and robbed by a black male in his late twenties or early thirties with a medium build, no hair or very short hair, and medium dark skin complexion.
The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim and fled northbound from the scene.
There was no report of any weapons displayed. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
