MARION, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Marion Police have arrested a man they say stole unattended packages from someone's front porch.
The police department said Wednesday it received a theft report from a home on Jonquil Lane in Marion at 3:10 p.m. The victim was able to give officers a description of the suspect.
Officers tracked down and arrested Adam Bergman. He is 34 years old. He faces a fourth degree theft charge. After executing a search warrant, officers found the stolen packages. The investigation is continuing.
The Marion police department also wanted to remind people to remove and secure packages as quickly as possible this holiday season. It also encourages people to report suspicious activity to law enforcement.
