(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A racial slur provoked a woman into attacking a man who fatally stabbed her. That's what prosecutors said during opening arguments in the trial of Shane Teslik in Cedar Rapids.

He's charged with voluntary manslaughter in the killing of Devonna Walker.

Teslik's girlfriend testified that she was close neighbor's with Walker, but the argument that led to the stabbing was the latest in a series of disagreements they began having.

The trial continues today.
