(Muscatine, IA) -- The Muscatine Community School District is offering support services after a shooting that left seven people dead Monday.

Police say officers responding to a report of gunfire found multiple victims at a home, and several more at other locations. In total, seven members of the McFarland family were killed, including the suspected shooter who died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

Investigators say the murders appears to be the result of a domestic dispute.

The district confirms two of the victims were employees and two were students. Counselors will be available at schools across the district.
