(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- As more severe weather bears down on Eastern Iowa today, more flood protection infrastructure has been completed in Cedar Rapids.

Crews have completed the connection of the Quaker Oats floodwall to First Avenue, and installed two roller flood gates.

E Avenue and F Avenue bridges under I-380 are scheduled to reopen to traffic at noon today.

You'll also now be able to make left turns from the northbound I-380 off-ramp at First Street NW for the first time.
