(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A Linn County man convicted of quadruple murder is appealing his conviction.

A jury found Luke Truesdell guilty in November of the murders of four people in rural Marion two years ago.

He was sentenced to three life sentences plus fifty years last week.

Truesdell's lawyers are now filing a notice to appeal his conviction with the Iowa Supreme Court.

They had called for a mistrial over a police interview submitted as evidence.

A hearing on the appeal hasn't been scheduled.
