Dept. Of War Identifies Another Central Iowa Soldier Killed In Kuwait

(Iowa) -- The Department of War has identified two more service members killed in Kuwait during Operation Epic Fury. One is from Central Iowa.

45-year-old Maj. Jeffrey R. O'Brien of Waukee was one of the two soldiers who weren't previously identified.

The other is believed to be Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan of Sacramento, California. A positive identification will be completed by the medical examiner.

Six U.S. soldiers died in a drone strike by Iran on March 1.

The other service members are:

  • Sgt. Declan Coady of West Des Moines, Iowa
  • Sgt. First Class Noah Tietjens of Bellevue, Nebraska
  • Captain Cody Khork of Winter Haven, Florida
  • Sgt. First Class Nicole Amor of White Bear Lake, Minnesota

All were Army Reservists assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command based in Des Moines, Iowa.
