Iowa DNR Scheduling Prescribed Burns In Eastern Iowa

(Des Moines, IA) -- With spring on the horizon, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is scheduling a series of prescribed burns in Eastern Iowa.

The goal is to restore native plants, get rid of invasive ones, all while improving the natural habitat.

The burns are planned in the Iowa River Unit in Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Linn, and Tama counties.
