(Davenport, IA) -- The National Weather Service has released its spring flood outlook for the upper Mississippi River through Iowa. Forecasters say the chance for flooding this spring is near to below normal.
Snowpack levels upstream are running about normal, but the frost depth in the Quad Cities is slightly deeper than usual, which could influence how quickly runoff enters the river.
The next spring flood outlook is scheduled to be released next Thursday.
