(Linn County, IA) -- The Linn County Board of Supervisors is signing a memorandum of understanding to explore the future of the landfill.
The city of Marion is already onboard. The Solid Waste Agency and city of Cedar Rapids plan to discuss it later this week.
The group will look at national practices and decide how to go forward to best serve the community.
The Linn County Board of Supervisors says the landfill could reach capacity within the next 10 years.
