(Polk County, IA) -- A former Polk City firefighter and paramedic is filing a lawsuit asking to be reinstated or paid compensation for lost wages.
She was terminated by the county over her online posts about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Attorneys for the woman cite Iowa code permitting city officials to engage in political activity while not on duty.
