(West Liberty, IA) -- After a months-long investigation, the drowning death of an Iowa infant has been ruled accidental.
Police say emergency responders were called to a backyard swimming pool in West Liberty in August, where a one-year-old was found unresponsive.
Despite life-saving efforts from family members, hospital staff, and first responders, the child was pronounced dead at the University of Iowa Hospital.
