Police Identify Victim Of Officer-Involved Shooting Near Waterloo

(Waterloo, IA) -- Law enforcement has identified the man shot and killed by police Sunday night after a chase in eastern Iowa.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says 47-year-old Benjamin Sink of Waterloo fled from Grundy County Sheriff’s deputies and opened fire when his car broke down.

An Iowa State Patrol trooper and a Grundy County deputy returned fire, killing Sink.

Authorities say he was wanted on several domestic abuse charges.
