(Black Hawk County, IA) -- a man is dead after an officer-involved shooting Sunday night in Black Hawk County.
According to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, law enforcement tried to stop a vehicle driven by a wanted man from Waterloo.
The suspect fled and when the his car broke down during the chase, he fired at officers.
Law enforcement returned fire and hit the suspect, who was pronounced dead at the hospital.
No officers were injured. The investigation is ongoing.
