DNA Links Wisconsin, Missouri Murderer To Suspect In Iowa Huisentruit Case

New DNA evidence has linked Chris Revak, a man from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, to two murder cases in different states. Revak, who was previously investigated in the 1995 disappearance of Iowa TV News Anchor Jodi Huisentruit, is now confirmed to have murdered Diedre Harm in Wisconsin in 2006 and another woman in Missouri. Revak, who had been a suspect in several cases, died by suicide in a Missouri jail where he was awaiting trial for murder charges.

Authorities in Wood County, Wisconsin, have closed the case of Diedre Harm's murder, stating that the evidence against Revak was strong enough for a conviction if he were still alive. Harm disappeared during a night out with friends in Wisconsin Rapids in 2006. According to Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase, Revak's DNA was found at the scene of another crime, linking him to the murder of Rene Williams, a bartender who went missing in Ava, Missouri, in 2007.

Revak was also considered a person of interest in the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit, who vanished in Mason City, Iowa, in 1995. Although there was no direct evidence connecting him to Huisentruit's case, Revak lived near her at the time, raising suspicions among investigators.

Revak's wife, Johanna, provided crucial information to the authorities, admitting that she had seen Rene Williams' body and had been coerced by Revak into helping dispose of it. Despite her involvement, she has not faced any charges. The Wood County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate whether Revak was involved in other unsolved cases, suspecting there may be additional victims.
