(Des Moines, IA) -- The state of Iowa is committing millions of dollars to expand childcare and preschool program partnerships. The $5 million in additional grant funding will help address statewide gaps in childcare.

This move follows a Continuum of Care grant announced earlier this year, which offers up to $300,000 over three years to support partnerships between preschools and childcare centers. More than 120 applications were submitted during the first round of grants this summer.
