(Hiawatha, IA) -- The city of Hiawatha is moving ahead with a wish list project.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports the city is receiving nearly $800,000 dollars in state grant money to build a $1.6-million pedestrian bridge over Interstate 380.

The trail bridge will be at Emmons Street where it intersects with the interstate.

City staff are just entering the design phase and hope to have the bridge completed in the next two to three years.
