(Iowa) -- The Iowa Beef Industry Council is offering a grant to increase nutrition education in Iowa schools.
The program offers Family and Consumer Science teachers $750 to be used on nutrition education in their classes. IBIC says 85 school participated in last year's grant, reaching roughly 13,000 students statewide. Erin Good, Director of Nutrition and Health with the IBIC says so far, roughly 50 schools have applied for the 2025-2026 grant program, and she hopes to see that number reach the hundreds this year.
Family and Consumer Science teachers can apply for the grant through the Iowa Beef Industry Council's website.
