(Davenport, IA) -- The Iowa Supreme Court will hear arguments today in a case involving the partial collapse of a Davenport apartment building almost two-and-a-half years ago.
A class action lawsuit by survivors of the building collapse against the city of Davenport, contractors, and the owner for negligence has been in limbo for months.
The delay is due to the city appealing a lower court decision that employees don't have immunity from prosecution in the case.
The Iowa Supreme Court will hear arguments today, but it may still be several months before a decision is made.
Three men were killed in the partial collapse on Memorial Day weekend in 2023.
