(Iowa) -- The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services reports low respiratory virus activity for September.
HHS classifies COVID-19 activity as low and and overall influenza activity as very low statewide. When it comes to both viruses, the percentage of positive cases, number of emergency room visits, inpatient visits, and deaths are all down compared to September of last year. There was an increase in other respiratory viruses in September of this year compared to this time in 2024.
