Dave Sires says in light of the failures that lead to the hiring of former superintendent Ian Roberts, he doubts the District's ability to meet state standards and properly manage taxpayer dollars. The Republican state senator from Cedar Falls says maybe other things in the District aren't being done right.
Roberts resigned after being arrested by ICE for being in the country illegally. He's facing deportation and illegal weapons charges. Roberts is in federal custody in the Polk County Jail in Des Moines.
