(Des Moines, IA) -- The former Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent is back in Des Moines.

"On Thursday afternoon, at 4:00 p.m. U.S. Marshalls Service brought Mr. Roberts into our facility, the Polk County Jail."

IRoberts is facing four federal firearms charges. The U.S. Attorney's Office for Southern Iowa says 54-year-old Ian Roberts, who is a citizen of Guyana, was illegally or unlawfully in the United States and illegally in possession of four guns. At least three of them were found loaded.

Chance says any further information would have to be refered to the U.S. Attorney's Office For Southern Iowa. Federal prisoners held in the Polk County Jail do not appear on the inmate roster and are under federal, not local jurisdiction.
