(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Lady Liberty is getting a new home.

A replica Statue of Liberty was gifted to several communities including Cedar Rapids in 1950 by the Boy Scouts to mark their 40th anniversary.

The statue sat in Green Square until 2003 when it was moved to the First Avenue Bridge on May's Island.

Last year it was removed to repair damage from vandalism.

Once repairs are complete in about six weeks time, the statue will be on display at Cedar Rapids City Hall.
