(Brighton, IA) -- A 17-year-old squirrel hunter has died after being accidentally shot by another hunter in Brighton.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says that Carson Ryan was shot in the back of the head by a member of his hunting party, who mistook him for a squirrel.
He was taken to the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
