(Iowa City, IA) -- University of Iowa administrators say the folks who compile the list of best colleges rely too much on algorithms and not enough on what matters to students and parents.
U of I fell out of the top 100 in the U.S. News & World Report’s annual best college rankings for the first time, falling to 102 from 98.
The Gazette reports that an external relations advisor says UI had record applications and its second-largest freshman class in its history.
