(Iowa) -- The Director of the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services has resigned.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds' office announced Monday that Kelly Garcia will leave HHS next month after nearly six years. The governor appointed Garcia to lead what was then the Iowa Department of Human Services in November of 2019.
