Iowa Supreme Court Goes On Tour

(Bettendorf, IA) -- The Iowa Supreme Court is going on tour.

The court is holding special sessions in various communities across the state to give Iowans a chance to see the legal process in action.

The Court will hold session in Bettendorf High School's auditorium Tuesday night.

The public can hear arguments in a case on whether attorneys in the Scott County Public Defender's Office can refuse cases.

Special sessions are scheduled for the State Capitol, University of Iowa, Drake University, and the communities of Jefferson and Fairfield in the coming months.

Here's a list of dates and times:

  • September 16, 2025 - 7:00 p.m. -- Bettendorf High School auditorium, Bettendorf
  • October 7, 2025 - 7:00 p.m. -- Iowa State Capitol, Des Moines
  • October 24, 2025 - 1:30 p.m. -- University of Iowa College of Law, Iowa City
  • November 4, 2025 - 7:00 p.m. -- Greene County High School auditorium, Jefferson
  • February 11, 2026 - 7:00 p.m. -- Iowa Judicial Branch Building, Des Moines
  • March 26, 2026 - 9:30 a.m. -- Drake Law School, Des Moines
  • April 21, 2026 - 7:00 p.m. -- Fairfield High School, Fairfield
