Iowa Economic Development Authority Announces Funds for Statewide Projects

(Iowa) -- The Iowa Economic Development Authority announces millions of dollars workforce housing tax credits for projects statewide.

The IEDA says $35.9 million dollars in housing tax credits will go to 63 projects in 36 Iowa counties. The projects are expected to build nearly 2,000 new residential units, with 1,217 units to be build in large Iowa communities and 752 in smaller Iowa towns.

Some of the approved projects are in communities across the state including:

  • Atlantic
  • Charles City
  • Cumming
  • Oskaloosa

The Workforce Housing Tax Credit Program goes to projects that renovate vacant, deteriorated, and abandoned properties.
