Cedar Rapids To Host National Civics Bee Competition

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Eastern Iowa students in grades six through eight are invited to compete in a local National Civics Bee, hosted by the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance.

The competition includes both a written essay and a live quiz event. Local finalists will advance to an Iowa state final, and the state champion will move on to the National Championship in Washington, D.C. in 2026. The national winner will receive a 100-thousand-dollar contribution to a 529 education savings plan.
