(Iowa City, IA) -- An affordable housing complex in Iowa City is getting the go ahead.
City Council held a first vote to approve a zoning change for 187-units at the site of the old Roosevelt Elementary School on Greenwood Drive.
The four-story Roosevelt Ridge complex will be a low-income housing tax credit project open to families, seniors and individuals struggling to find affordable housing.
No start or completion date has been finalized.
