Blair, Nebraska Police say they arrested a mother after her two children were rescued from a hot car by a Washington County Sheriff's Sgt., who broke into the vehicle to save them.
Police say the children, ages 3 and 16 months, were found crying and screaming inside the locked car.
The vehicle was not running, and the kids were in car seats.
In a news release, police say the temperature inside the car was over 120 degrees, and the children were treated for heat exposure at a hospital and released to family members under state supervision.
The mother, 37-year- old Tanya Knudsen, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, is accused of leaving the children in the car for 25 minutes to deliver online grocery orders.
She is booked for Felony Child Abuse.
