(Des Moines, IA) -- It was a full-house at the Iowa Utilities Commission's first meeting in two years Wednesday.

Several landowners were on-hand to speak during the public comments period.

The Commission canceled public meetings in October of 2023 citing a high volume of docket proceedings.

The new chair of the Utilities Commission, Sarah Martz, says they want to restart the monthly meetings to provide more transparency in their decision making processes.
