(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A man serving time for murder refused to give any testimony that would lead to a conviction of the defendant in a Cedar Rapids murder-for-hire trial.

Johnny Blahnik-Church told a Linn County Court that he alone killed Chris Bagley and that Andrew Shaw did not pay him to do so and had nothing to do with the crime.

A judge disallowed any further testimony from Church.

The prosecution rested its case Monday.

The defense is expected to call more witnesses today.
