(Des Moines, IA) -- A new executive order aims to expand science, technology, engineering, and math education for all K-through-12 students in Iowa.
The governor's office announced Executive Order 14 was signed on Saturday during STEM Day at the Iowa State Fair. The order directs the state's STEM Advisory Council to ensure every student has access to cutting-edge educational opportunities.
Specific goals include connecting classroom lessons with work-based learning experiences and recommending new policies to strengthen STEM instruction.
