(Fairfield, IA) -- The Iowa Economic Development Authority announces the latest community recognized by Main Street Iowa.
Fairfield is now the 54th community recognized by Main Street Iowa, which is part of the national Main Street America network. Main Street recognizes communities for their downtown revitalization and overall long-term economic development focusing on four key factors.
Those four factors include:
- economic vitality
- organization
- promotion
- design
Fairfield was announced as the latest community to receive recognition from Main Street Iowa at the 2025 Iowa Downtown Conference in Muscatine. A celebration in Fairfield is scheduled for August 12th.
