(Iowa City, IA) -- The launch of two satellites carrying University of Iowa's largest ever space project is scheduled for today.

The TRACERS satellites will study how, where, and when energy from solar flares penetrates earth's magnetic field.

The project is being led by researcher David Miles from the University of Iowa.

The satellites were scheduled to launch on a SpaceX rocket from Vandenberg Space Force base in California yesterday, but the launch was delayed until this afternoon.
