(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- An email sent to Cedar Rapids School District staff, and parents says the District can't be relied on to act in the public interest.
The anonymous email lists 10 reasons why the recipients should sign a petition for an independent audit of the District.
The accusations include misuse of public funds, secret contracts to outside consultants, and major programs launched and land purchases made without public input.
The District calls the accusations baseless and says there are multiple more productive and above board ways for people to address concerns about their policies and decisions.
