(Winneshiek County, IA) -- A Winneshiek County police K9 successfully disarmed a man threatening police with a 20-gauge shotgun.
Police responded to a welfare check and found Jordan Schaller pointing the shotgun towards law enforcement and firing shots at the ground. Police K9 Drago was able to bite the shotgun out of Schaller’s hand and return the firearm to law enforcement.
Schaller faces multiple charges, including felony assault on a peace officer and harassment.
No injuries were reported.
