(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Shootings in Cedar Rapids are at their lowest rate in almost a decade.
Crime stats for June released by the Cedar Rapids Police show just one confirmed shots-fired call last month and 16 so far for the year.
That's the lowest since January of 2016, and a 33% drop compared to the first half of last year.
Aggravated assaults, and thefts of and from vehicles are up slightly.
