(Iowa City, IA) -- A State Senator from eastern Iowa will be facing two other Democrats in next year's primary to see who will challenge Iowa U.S. Senator Joni Ernst.
Zach Wahls is announcing his candidacy this morning, vowing to support the interests of Iowans in Washington no matter who is in the White House.
The University of Iowa grad living in Coralville was elected to the state Senate in 2018 and served as Senate Minority Leader.
State Representative JD Scholten, and Nathan Sage have also announced their campaigns.
